El otro día me instalé Ubuntu Dapper y la verdad es que me ha impresionado bastante, facilísimo, rapidísimo y da gusto como detecta el hardware, con la de problemas que tuve para instalar tanto Debian como anteriores versiones de Ubuntu en el portatil esta vez ha ido todo del tirón y me he limitado a ver como hacía todo sólo.
Pues bien, puestos a hacer la instalación mas facil todavía he probado Automatix, un script con el que instalarnos el típico software que solemos poner justo despues de instalar un sistema operativo.
Y es que si ya con el APT la cosa era simple, con este script no tendremos ni que ponernos a buscar paquetes, perfecto para gente vaga.
Una lista de las instalaciones automáticas que nos deja elegir :

Para instalar Automatix en Ubuntu Dapper hacemos lo siguiente.
Editamos nuestros repositorios.
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Añadimos la siguiente línea y guardamos.
deb http://www.getautomatix.com/apt dapper main
Ahora importamos e instalamos las claves GPG.
gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys 521A9C7C
gpg --export --armor 521A9C7C | sudo apt-key add -
Por último actualizamos los respositorios y lo instalamos.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install automatix
Y voalá, como quien no quiere la cosa ya tengo instalados todos los codecs, la wifi lista para usar,Skype, Gdesklets, Java, Amsn, etc etc...:-)
Si seguis con Brezzy u os lo acabais de instalar y no quereis actualizarlo a Dapper todavía tambien podeis instalarlo, sería exactamente igual excepto al editar el sources.list deberíais de añadir esta otra línea:
deb http://www.getautomatix.com/apt brezzy main
